  I agree Fubared. And why do you think the Light Rail stops at the border of Norfolk and VB? City council didn’t want this element to reach the oceanfront easily. Beyond that, the Norfolk and VB cultures are vastly different.

  I know the area. Not somewhere you want to be at night, period. I don’t know what I find more disgusting, the beating or the coverage by the reporter’s own newspaper (The Virginian Pilot). No wonder their subscriptions have plummeted. CCW anyone?

  Let’s stretch this, for the good of women’s health argument, really really far. Let’s say I enjoy walking through rough neighborhoods late at night. That’s risky too, right? Bullets for my CCW can be expensive, but are good for my continued health. So… should the government make my employer or insurer pay for my bullets? My absurd point is that the list could grow really long in a hurry.

  While I agree with most of your point, I’m not sure the school is under any obligation to print anything a student submits. No one denied her free speech (IMHO), just her platform.
