  • Really?

Integrity means being able to work with others to figure things out. Allen West is a real man, of which the likes are not around much these days.

There is so much posturing, non-comprimising, and overheated rhetoric within the world of politics that NOTHING is happening… and right now, we have NO time for nothing. We need to take a first step. You can’t get it all done in one step. Period.

  • Really not funny, at all.

Let us speak civilly, especially to those who are polar opposites of our own views. If you want to be taken seriously and people to take note of us as actually being different than others, we actually have to be different. That means showing respect to everyone.

  • Until Allen West takes on the William Wallace role.

(by the way, William Wallace is a historic figure that was “movie-ized” for sure, but still a real person)

  • BIN,

So you declare any religious sentiment to be superstitions?

Says a lot about the tolerance of the left. They demand those that disagree with them shut up and accept them for who they are, but if someone is religiously motivated, there is no acceptance.

I will not partake in that sort of arrangement, which is the real scam.

  • Well, it’s that, and especially after Beck’s TV departure, he’s basically the indisputable king of cable news punditry out there. Whether you like him or not, if you can finagle his name on an endorsement of your policy, it’ll do well in your favor.

It’s showing, too, that they have to use O‘Reilly’s name to try to garner support for it. Would be that a plan would have respect because it was the president’s. Shows how much Mr. Obama has done to lessen the respect for the office.

  • You bet it’ll be in his opening section, but it’s obvious what happened: the White House manipulated or misconstrued his words to wriggle out some form of “endorsement” for the WH plan.

O‘Reilly doesn’t have much to explain here. We do need tax reform, which doesn’t equate to tax hikes.

  • You’ve provided the most concrete evidence to date (that’s public, at least) of a potential Islamic connection to the terrorist acts.

While I wouldn’t be surprised in the least if it were Islamic extremists, it’s important to not jump to conclusions, as well.

  • Maybe I’m seriously missing some important information. Where does it indicate it was an Islamic terrorist?

I‘m not saying it’s not; I‘m just saying at this point we don’t know who it is. (Or at least publicly) With the bombing being a key government building, it could easily be a person disgruntled with the government. Or maybe it was simply a sociopath who likes explosions. Or, yes, it could be jihad.

  • While Islamic terrorists are probably a fairly safe bet, there could be any number of other terrorist forces at work there.

I won’t be surprised if it is a jihadist, but it’s not yet public (or known at all) who the terrorists are and what their motivation is.

  • Why do you have the word “rendering” in quotes? It implies you feel this isn‘t an authentic artist’s rendering of the site.

Renderings are necessary for any new large architecture or public art. So it’s a usual practice. I‘m only asking because I’m confused why you put the quote marks around the word.
