  ITSJUSTTIM IMO they don‘t realize that the brain is merely the central switchboard that sends the signals to the various branches and they don’t consider that just possibly, there is something using and commanding that organ much like a driver drives the car. If one considers that one is not his body and that he is able to operate the body as opposed to being the effect of the body, then it opens up understandings beyond mere physical ones. There is a reason why she is normal and in control at times and effect and unable to control her body at other times. I believe the mind is a separate entity from the brain and body which is unique and exists in way and form beyond the mere physical and possibly in the field of electronics…..

  I think they have a point if it’s true that: “The communication was initiated by the pastor – not by the defendant – and was done to ascertain whether the victim was telling the truth, not for the purpose of spiritual guidance,”

  If I’m not mistaken, confession is initiated by the confessor or spoken in a formal session and not initiated by the clergyman…. the fact that the mother was there and if the clergyman was asking the questions rather than inviting confession may violate the privileged and confidential communication.

  On the other hand, it could be implied that it was thought to be a privileged and confidential communication unless they were told beforehand that the information to be received would not be privileged. Guess we will see.

  Probably not something that should be done in public, however we don’t have the whole story and if he has been doing this before and the child has any idea of why he is doing this and has predict as to how long it will last and what to expect, I don’t see that it is cruel.
