  Other than the college republicans who brought in Ron Paul to speak on campus the other republican groups in my community have an average age of about 70. The state republican women’s group has an average age of about 55/60+.

  The republican party as a whole has done a terrible job at attracting young people. Gee I wonder why? Could the continued beating of war drums for the past decade be a reason? How about the fact the youth are going to be nothing more than debt slaves thanks to 99.9% of the jokers in Washington? Or, maybe they are just tired of the republican party as of late with their continued attack on freedom and liberty like the NDAA, The Patriot Act, the new propaganda law, drones… etc, etc.

  Hell, after all of what has gone on this past decade and especially more recently, I no longer claim to be a member of the republican party.

  It is nice to see someone step up to the plate and help their neighbor. So many times we hear about people just standing by while someone is beaten or harmed. I am very glad that Mr Young was given his job back. I hope that the woman he helped is not one of those that keep going back to their abuser.

  This just goes to show once again that “Zero Tolerance” policies do not work.

  So when a child is afraid of the dark do you just turn out the light, shut the door and tell them to go to sleep because you said so? Or do you help your child overcome issues whether it is not wanting to wear a hearing aid or a host of any other issues. The do it because I said so attitude works for many situations but it is not the best way to handle all situations.

  In a society that worships perfection I can see how many disabled children find it difficult to find where they fit in. I say good for Marvel Comics for doing something good for once.

  @ Melika: In today’s screwed up world I guess looking up to a comic book character that stands for good is better than looking up to some rapper or over paid self serving athlete or movie actor.

  The results in November will not solve the problem, even if Romney is elected. It may be a start but I doubt it. The status quo politicians are bought and paid for by big business and elitists. Very few of those in Washington really want to solve our debt problem. We are too far past the notion that “growth” will solve the problems of our country. The only “growth” they believe in is growth in credit and growth (even through bailouts) in the TBTF companies. Even Bush told the country – go shop – after 9/11.

  The Amerrican Conservative Union would not know a true conservative if one smacked them in the face. Orin needs to go. He is an establishment RINO Republican that has helped get our country to the cliff it is hanging onto. If Hannnity supports him all the more reason to believe he is an establishment RINO.

  The leaders in both political parties have sold their soul to the devil for power and to try and keep the ponzi scheme going for just one more election cycle. Every day we lose our freedoms and liberties. Today we learn the Chinese have direct access to purchasing our treasuries and the House votes to allow legal sanctioned government propaganda. I guess the Dept of Propaganda will need all the help they can get when our elected representatives keep selling us down the river.

  Not only does this nightmare seem to be growing, antibiotic resistant staph infections seem to be on the rise. Our society has over used antibiotics for people and in livestock production, not to mention the antibiotics in dish detergent, soap, lotion, hand cream, etc, etc. Add to that the amount of bleach in cleaning supplies. I wonder if our immune system is being harmed by all of this now our bodies can not fight off these horrible infections.

  I have a family member that cleans everything with a mixture of bleach and detergent from can goods, milk/juice cartons, walls, dishes basically anything that will not be destroyed if it comes into contact with bleach it gets washed before it gets put in the cabinet. Needless to say this person is always sick with every cold/flu bug that comes around.
