I am impressed with the obvious time and effort you have spent in your ecclesiastical and secular analysis of my faith. I trust we share Christian values as we both follow the admonition of Paul and seek after anything virtuous, lovely, of good report or praiseworthy. Christ has taught us how and by what means Truth (things as they really are and as they really will be) is obtained. In one of my favorite passages, Jesus taught in John 14:26, “But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, HE SHALL TEACH YOU ALL THINGS, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”

I am a man of many imperfections; however, I have made an effort throughout my life to repent of my sins and apply the atoning blood of the Savior who willingly died for all. When I have done my best to follow Christ’s example and have asked in faith, He has blessed me with His Spirit. The Spirit has communicated the truths of the gospel of Jesus Christ to me. The saving knowledge I have obtained about Christ has not been secured from artifacts dug up or even by words on a paper–as faith-promoting and important as they can be. My guess is that you too have obtained your testimony of Christ through God’s Spirit and not through artifacts.

  • Glenn Beck Unveils ‘Anonymous for Good’

    Awesome.

  • Perhaps this misinformed pastor should READ the Book of Mormon in its entirety before making defamatory accusations which are patently false. If he has read the book, I would love to have a discussion with him about the book. I have several close African American friends who are proud members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They serve in positions of leadership and have strong, vibrant testimonies of Christ and of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon AND the Bible. The Book of Mormon, hand in hand with the Bible, testify of Christ and clearly state that God is not a respecter of persons. If you are genuinely honest in heart (if you care about truth) please read the book of Helaman chapter 13 in the Book of Mormon. Go to lds.org and you can read it in the Menu/Scriptures section right now. The prophet at the time (Samuel the Lamanite) was of dark skin (the word ***** is not in the Book of Mormon). Samuel was called by God to call the Nephites (white-skinned people) to repentance and to come unto Christ. I do not know the pastor nor will I speculate on his intentions or the state of his heart; I will say this: the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ written by prophets who primarily lived in the Americas from approximately 600 B.C. to 400 A.D. I have read the book. I have also read the Bible. I know both are true by the power of His Holy Spirit. God speed to all who are true in heart.

  • To all the individuals who cannot wrap their brains around Glenn Beck exposing Newt Gingrich as a big-government progressive who lacks character–and actively proving his point WITH NEWT’S OWN WORDS IN CONTEXT: get the hell off this site, stop listening to Glenn’s radio show and PLEASE cancel your subscription to GBTV. In short: don’t let the door hit you where the good Lord split you. You cannot be surprised or upset with Glenn taking issue with Gingrich if you have any shred of knowledge about Glenn’s libertarian PRINCIPLES. Either Glenn is a man of principle or he is not. If Glenn did not expose the biggest progressive in this primary (uh…Gingrich), I WOULD STOP LISTENING TO GLENN BECK. Gingrich hung HIMSELF a long time ago with his own words and actions and has only reinforced Glenn’s suspicions as Glenn has interviewed Newt first-hand. Glenn asked objective questions and NEWT labeled HIMSELF as a WILSONIAN who ADMIRES the GREATEST PRESIDENT OF THE 20TH CENTURY, F.D.R., FOR HIS BIG-GOVERNMENT SOLUTIONS. Unless you want to debate the virtues of Newt’s past AND present big-government policies and, more importantly, progressive ACTIONS (20-year support for a FEDERAL healthcare mandate, Fannie and Freddie fiasco, etc.), save your time and effort ’cause y‘all are barkin’ up the wrong SMALL-GOVERNMENT, PRINCIPLED TREE.

  • This Presidential election will NOT be won by a candidate’s debating prowess. If the republicans are lucky there MIGHT be two debates between the candidates (if that); please take this into consideration.

  • Sir, spurious and bigoted attacks score zero points for your side; they, in fact, damage your cause.

  • Jack,

Wow, are you kidding me? Beck is “very, very, very” pro-Romney? REALLY? You must be a closet Ron Paul supporter ’cause you are certainly pro-legalization, huh? I AM a Romney supporter (now that Bachman is out and my only real choice is between Newt and Mitt) and I have had to turn off the radio several times driving to work because of Glenn’s anti-Romney rants. If Glenn is anything, he is principled. That is why I listen to him. I trust him. I admit, Glenn has converted me to Libertarianism. To accuse Glenn of backing Romney (which he has NEVER done) because of his religion is laughable and disgusting. To be fair, the only positive thing Glenn has said about Romney when I have listened is that he is less of a progressive than Newt and that he knows a lot about the free market. Jeesh, Glenn and Mitt, can you two get a room? Harry Reid (Mr. Progressivism) is a friggin’ Mormon for @#$% sakes!! I would be willing to do Glenn a favor and remove his books from your house if you would like. Yeah, that Glenn Beck, what an unprincipled charlatan.
