In my opinion, he should have been shot where he stood. His intention was to take the gun and kill the officer PERIOD. He had the means to do so, he had the opportunity to take it, and again by him going for the weapon, his intent was to kill in order to escape. So please don’t say, oh hey, can you just talk with him or just taze him, you are not there in that situation!! And given the command of get down afterwards, you better get down or your world will come crashing down.
