Obama ‘Hope’ Artist Creates Trayvon Martin Painting
May 26, 2012 at 9:39am
One need not be a cynic to dispute that Trayvon is being honored. His death has been exploited as ready-made campaign material, in Florida, a battleground state, and will also resonate in every urban area of the country.
‘Formal Discrimination’: Female Army Officers Sue to End Combat Ban
May 26, 2012 at 9:27am
It is factual that many women have been killed or badly wounded in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. It seems illogical, considering that information, but the treatment by Muslims of their own women and children guarantees that Americans won’t be concerned about career advancement as we witness the fate of female soldiers who are captured by the enemy.

Muslim Brotherhood Candidate Wins Run-Off Spot in Egyptian Presidential Election
May 25, 2012 at 9:11am
Egyptians lining up to vote is quite a contrast to the chaos in Tahrir Square. One voter, referring to the Muslim Brotherhood said: “It’s scary. The simple and poor will fall for that”.
The Brotherhood, Hezbollah, and Hamas use the tactic of meager hand-outs to the underprivileged, but their victims are then caught in a web of dependency. The future of the Middle East is likely to reflect their past of violence and hatred.

Heartbreaking Photo: Another Dog Refuses to Leave Dead Canine Friend’s Side
May 24, 2012 at 10:05am
I hope the owner of the surviving dog is located. Recently my husband stopped by his friend’s golf driving range, and they rescued two black labs from traffic. Calls to the nearby vet located the owner who had been frantic since discovering the pooches had escaped their invisible fencing. We have always loved dogs, for they are true blue friends.
N.C. Store Clerk Shoots and Kills Two Alleged Robbers After Vicious Beating

It’s surprising that a “hate crime” investigation did not begin as soon as the felons dropped in their tracks.
According to an article by Kyle Hightower, AP writer, George Zimmerman complained about corruption in the Sanford Police Department in a Jan. 8, 2011 public forum, which discussed a cover-up of the beating of a black homeless man by the son of an officer on the force. The Sanford Police Chief at the time, Tooley, was forced to resign.

‘Not Very Christian’: MSNBC’s Bashir & His Panel Slam the Catholic Church’s Response to the Contraceptive Mandate
May 23, 2012 at 10:23am
I applaud Cardinal Dolan, who is earnestly defending religious freedom. I am not Catholic, but strongly pro-life. Whether many Catholics adher to a fundamental tenet of their faith or not, government mandates which violate the Church’s belief will be litigated in court, and the Constituiton seems clear on this issue.
George Zimmerman’s Case Weakens Even as Public Opinion Turns in His Favor
May 23, 2012 at 9:12am
Sanford’s police department is probably undermanned, but statements of witnesses should have been taken immediately. Barney Fife could have bettered a three-week time span. Zimmerman’s defense team will certainly utilize inconsistencies in these statements. There is a downside to fifteen minutes of fame for witnesses or even jurists now that this case has gone national and beserk.
