Will You Celebrate Earth Day by Forking Over $60 for This Light Bulb?
April 17, 2012 at 12:03pm
I bought one of the less efficient versions of this bulb about 6 months ago and it does provide very good light for reading. Much better than any other LED or CFL bulb I’ve tried.
The government should not be involved in which light bulb we use but LED and CFL both have their uses. Incandescent bulbs burn out a lot in my house which if very rural. I’ve started replacing bulbs in hard to reach fixtures with CFLs and I am no longer replacing bulbs every two weeks.
If the govt would stay out of it the market place will work and these bulbs would eventually catch on.
Biracial Arizona Couple Finds Burnt Cross on Front Lawn

@mikenleeds
Under what god do you claim mixed racial marriages are a sin? Neither Jesus nor his father taught that. That’s only a sin as judged by man not by God. God doesn‘t plant burning crosses in anyone’s yard, other men do. Either ignorant bigoted men or possibly people who want to pretend it was “right wing bigots” for political gain.

“BELIEVERS IN CAPITALISM AS THE ONLY SYSTEM OF GOVT FOR FREEDOM-LOVING PEOPLE”
Capitalism is not a system of government. It’s an economic system. It is the best system for republic if you want the most individual liberty. You can have a republic and an economic system other than capitalism.

If he was anyone else he would have been indicted by the grand jury too. He did not report the incident to the proper authorities. The people he did report too have been indicted for not reporting to the proper authorities. How is Joe P different? He’s lucky to get out of this without being indicted. If he’d informed the proper authorites back then, the incident would be all but forgotten by now.

Whether you agree with Mr. Keller or not, Glenn is completely wrong to say he is violating the Constitution. The Constitution does not limit the actions of individuals, it limits the actions of the federal government. Politicians and judges often misapply the Constitution but Glenn should know better.
Ron Paul has been known as a crackpot here in Texas for decades. I can’t help but laugh when I get phone calls from Washington DC trying to tell me about Congressman Paul. I do not believe most of the country wishes to legalize prostitution, gambling and drugs. We should pull back our military from some parts of the world (such as Western Europe) but we should build up in others. (the Middle East and Pacific). Paul would pull back from everywhere. The only foreign policy he‘d have is with the space aliens he’s seen.

@Tanglefoot84302. Historically the Mormons did allow and encourage multiple wives. How many wives did Brigham Young have? Fifty Five is the number normally given although there is some dispute on how many he of those “marriages” he consummated. On his death at least 16 wives who had children with him were still living. There is some evidence that Joseph Smith supported and practiced polygamy but this was disputed and contributed to some early splintering of the Mormon church. The Mormon establishment only changed this because of pressure from society and government in 1890. The 1890 Manifesto repudiating polygamy was issued in order to gain acceptance of Utah as a state. Groups like the one here in Texas are splinters from the mainstream Mormons that do not believe the 1890 Manifesto was a Revelation from Jesus Christ as claimed by the LDS leadership.
