  • I believe that “chosen people” refers to the covenant that God made with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The covenant stated that 1) the Messiah would come through their family and 2) their family would be chosen to spread the gospel and its covenants to the rest of the world. A huge blessing to be sure.

I think that because many Jews had already gone apostate at the time of Christ, many missed the opportunity to fulfill the second part. One reason many may have missed the opportunity the first time was that they expected a political leader of military conqueror to get rid of “those evil people”, whoever “they” may be. Don’t make the same mistake and expect this leadership from the Jews, from the U.S. or anyone else today.

However, the gospel can destroy the works of Satan in anyone who chooses to follow those same covenants. “Those evil people” that He was sent to destroy, are us; those who wish to destroy our own evil tendencies. We must defeat the urge to blame the Jew, the Muslim our siblings, our parents, our neighbors for our own shortcomings. We must individually take responsibility to follow Christ and become more perfect ourselves. We must tell others about this plan, but we cannot impose our “perfection” on others any more than Christ could. This is the gospel of peace: fix ourselves and help others as much as we can. Then remember that no matter how good you believe you’ve become, don’t think you deserve to be treated any better than Chris

  • sorry…the last bit got cut off…
The last sentence should read “How many Palestinians will die when Isreal falls?”

  • I find it a bit disgusting that the left is still trying to bolster the Palestinian’s position. They will claim that a majority support the 2-state solution with a portion of Jerusalem in their hands. Weren’t they offered a 2-State solution in the Camp David Accord of 2000? Weren’t they were offered a contiguous, autonomous Palestinian state with Eastern Jerusalem under Palestinian control. Weren’t they offered money to compensate for the “displaced Palestinian’s”? When in history has that ever happened?! When did Jordon, Syria or Egypt offer the Palestinians that much? NEVER. It was the Jews that offered them more control over themselves than their supposed Islamic brothers.
Wasn’t it Yasser Arafat that said “no, I still want more”? Arafat demanded an immediate withdrawal of the settlements in the West Bank, Gaza and Jerusalem while demanding his state support the terrorist groups’ ability to attack Israel at a closer range.
The Palestinian‘s simply don’t want Israel to exist. Well, guess what Palestine…your “Islamic brothers” don’t want you to exist either. They’re using you as an excuse to get rid of Israel. After that, you become irrelevant.
Islam knows that the left in the US/Europe will fight their war for them. Just like in Viet Nam, every battle in the field will be won by the US, and the war will be lost at because of the misinformation from the left. 2 million died after the US left Viet Nam. How many Palestinians will die after I

  • The Israeli’s seem to have pretty good security at their airports. How do they do it? They simply ask questions and watch the response of the passengers. The voice analyzer and the thermal scans just add another set of data to decipher and throw into the assessment. I don’t like this, I’m warry of the potential abuse, but I’d prefer it over having my children felt up.

Having said that; I still think that the best defense against a terrorist threat is to have a LEAGALLY well armed populace. Then, no idiot would stand a chance of doing something stupid because he’d be taken down by the throngs of highly motivated peace loving citizens, emboldened by that fact that they are allowed to take care of themselves.

  • It‘s amazing that we’ve spnet billions to teach Iraqi‘s and Afgani’s that they do not need to resort to violence to participate in a civil society. We’ve speant years trying to teach them that they can tade bullets for a ballot box.

Yet, when things don’t go the way they want here, the left says “forget this democracy nonsense ! If I’m not getting my way then the whole system must be wrong!”

We might have been better off spending the money here educating people about the dangers of this type of thinking. Cloward and Pivon are our insurgents.

  • The man is yelling “Hury hury! Come up here [please] !” The poor ladys‘ taking thier time don’t seem to realize what’s going on until they see the water. Even then they seem too overwhelmed by the the reality to move quickly.
His groan at the end seems to be of disgust, saddness and helplessness. Aren’t we all.
    My heart braks for them.
