  The man invited himself to the dedication of a statue I helped to erect in remembrance of 9/11/2001 in Tucson, AZ. It depicted a larger than life abstract art deco style “angel” erupting from the earth bracing the world above his head, with the phrase, “Together We Rise, Divided We Fall”

  Grijalva referred to its symbolism as “fascist” – keep in mind the nature and timing of his comment during the dedication ceremony: 9/11/2002
