  Let’s face it, social issues have their place but they are not going to win the Presidency away from Obama. The Romney campaign needs to focus on beating Obama on substantive issues such as economy, liberty, prosperity, small government, spending and debt. If you want a diverse campaign staff so be it but keep those with their own agenda away or make it very clear they need to keep it to themselves. Look at all the Obama minions that have been a product of their own demise. Once you are in office you can fight for all the social issues your heart desires.

  Oh how I wish this idiot would have spoken at my daughter’s high school. Let’s face it, anyone who is an activist, anti-christian, marxist, socialist, hard core gay rights, or left wing bomb thrower is a friend to THIS administration or IN this administration.
  The truth is, when they talk about hateful rhetoric or bullying, its only offensive and wrong when it is directed at THEM ! Otherwise, the ends justifies the means.
  Is it any surprise this Liberal Left wing Atheist is a friend to this administration ?? The fact they let him come speak at a high school is only more proof the Liberal agenda of the educational institutions.

  you guys ? Sorry, most conservatives are thinkers and don’t follow anyone blindly. I would willing to wager that we are more tolerant as well. The majority of time race is brought up, it is coming from the left trying to gin up a controversy and race bait. Derbyshire’s opinion is just that, his opinion.

  Libertarians ? I believe myself to be a hard core conservative and Libertarians, although I agree with most of what they believe, take things to the extreme. It is not reality and unfortunately, true Ron Paul followers are of the “my way or the highway” attitude. When I listen to them speak, they have alot in common with the “occupy” movement. It is bordering on Anarchy ! Look to Greece, except instead of relying on the government, its all about self governance, free for all, legalize drugs, NO foreign policy, no rules, lawlessness. We are governed by the rule of law, more often than not there are TOO many laws, regulations, govt policies. Government has its place, albeit it has grown out of control at the national, state and local level. There is a happy medium that must be maintained.
  My fear is, those who are true libertarians are only going to vote for THEIR guy, not realizing that NOT voting is indeed a vote for Obama, he will get re-elected.

  Investment keeps this economy and companies going. Shareholders in company stock rely on that as part or in some cases, all of their retirement. As an investor, when you invest and lose money, its gone, there is no write off. Is THAT fair? We DON’T use that word “FAIR”. Why aren’t they using words like RISK, CAPITAL, SUCCESS ? The Liberals love to BLAME anyone other than themselves, they are ALL victims. The RICH Liberals don’t want to redistribute THEIR money, they want YOU to give up yours. AL Sharpton never having a job other than Reverend, that’s just NOT fair.. Doesn’t HE and his non profit still OWE taxes to the IRS??

  The only reason firefighters, teachers, and policemen’s jobs are in jeopardy is due to the SIZE of local governments, the amount of money they spend on other useless bloated programs and wasting of taxpayers money. The pensions and benefit packages provided by the unions are also to blame. In most cases these public service employees don’t pay anything into their own pensions. Typical liberal talking points, blame the republicans, and NOW its ok to do it from the church pulpit ! Only if you are a Democrat of course. Take away their tax exempt status, immediately.

  What do you mean, “You had to put up with it”. We all have choices in life, choose to speak up and say something to your pastor, or choose NOT to go to that church and listen to the rhetoric. Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it…
