  Thank you all for the positive comments, feedback and well wishes for Vernon. We are off to a incredible start. As a new councilman in office for the last 4 months, I’ve learned a lot and can tell you it is hard work keeping up, but enjoying every minuet of it. I hope in time Vernon will serve as that beacon of hope for small towns all across our nation. I believe in the inherent goodness of this country because of the mettle of freedom that is forged in all of us…we have to care enough to stand up and believe in what I call the “harder right” if we are going to make a difference.

  God bless you all…I encourage you to get beyond these blogs and go for it like we did.

  ESCAPEE1…I couldn’t agree more. It truly starts at the local level. We need to re-establish a fierce independence that makes us self sufficient with vibrant small towns all across this country. Perhaps in time Vernon could serve as a beacon of light to encourage other towns to do the same.

  Thanks Renee…it was and still is a tough battle. We are slowly righting our ship after many years of incompetence, corruption and dirty politics. We face monumental odds, but we believe we can make a difference. We have been tremendously encouraged by all the positive feedback. We hope to report back more success in the near future.
