You have overly simplified the unforgivable sin. Blaspheming the holy spirit is not a simple name calling. The first true blasphemy was committed by the Pharisees. They clearly knew who Christ was and his mission. He was however a threat to their ‘church’. and therefore needed to go. That is an example of the unforgivable sin. To know your Lord and Savior and what he calls you to do yet ignore, bastardize or otherwise bend the truth for your benefit.
Unfortunately, it sounds as if the church you were raised in (like many) has chosen it‘s own dogma for it’s own benefit. This is the unfortunate condition of Christianity today. Churches pick and chose portions of the bible to ignore or expand upon simply to keep the pews full and gain power. Leviticus 18 clearly declares homosexuality an abomination. Christ clearly stated a woman leaves her family to become one with a man, yet presby, lutheran, methodists etc have all been lured down the road of acceptance. The unforgivable sin has become quite common today.
    Never forget Christ despised hypocrites.

  • Jessie,
I have some recommended reading for you. You may want to purchase a ‘standard’ Canonized Holy Bible. You can select the translation. I know you don’t own one because if you did you could not miss John 3:17. Most of the chapter Acts, Hebrews and Thessalonians. You may want to touch base with some 1 john as well.
Thanks!! Feel free to contact any true Christian for assistance.

    1) What Seminary did he attend? Wow, what a huge miss on the whole Christ deal. Forgiveness not allowed under Islam, Redemption not allowed under Islam. Free Choice in life (which includes by virtue of your decisions, selecting you ‘final destination’) not in Islam.
    2) At least all those who freely profess Christianity but do nothing to further their understanding of God or follow the calls will have a leader in the dark place. This is one huge reason folks proclaim Christians as hypocrites. The good news is Christ abhorred hypocrites as well. It is very likely hypocrisy is the unpardonable sin spoken to the Pharisees.

  • Piehole,
where did morals come from? If it is all tall tales and even LaVey admits morals come from the bible, is it ok to kill for fun? What kind of world would that be? Who made the universe? If gravity was just a billionth stronger the whole thing would collapse. A billionth weaker and planets would not orbit. Who planned that?
And lastly, what if your wrong? What provision have you made in that instance?

  • Dear Eve,
    Please don’t eat the apple!!!!!!!.
Without bad times, there can be no good times. Without sorrow there can be no joy.

  • I am not a fan of him either, but even if the previous comments are all true regarding self indulgence and self promotion, we must all remember God has and will even use the devil to accomplish the mission. I realize this is an arguable statement. One could argue God just stepped aside knowing Satan would tempt Christ, plague Job, etc. Remember only one of the two ‘deities’ 1) is an actual deity and 2) knows the outcome of the battle for our souls. To me this would imply that even a self promotional minister still has some redeeming value. He may deceive some, others may start with him read the bible and grow. Condemnation belongs to God and will as declared in the book of life be carried out by God. The end can not come until all have been offered the truth. There is no dictate the truth is given in one exposure. Any exposure to Christ is an offering to develop a personal relationship which is the only way to obtain the grace. It doesn’t matter who does the introduction, what matters is what you do with it when offered.

Go easy on the race thing. It is true that the race to which you refer has serious crime and identity issues. Allow me to interject that they have not had any real leadership since that sad day in Memphis. Instead they have the minions who stole the dream and revamped it into entitlements, lack of self respect, dependency and the hopelessness of irresponsibility. Sharpton and Jackson are only in it for their gain. If you read the actual dream there was no entitlement, no special class, This is the sharpton – jackson power play. That race to which you refer needs a leader who will teach self respect, independence and self reliance. Unfortunately the Democrats also know this and are therefore quick to ensure it doesn’t happen by defaming any real leadership. Witness the bashing of Bill Cosby for speaking against sex out of wedlock and child raising responsibility. If that race realized the bill of goods they have been sold there would never be another democrat in office. It amazes me that in a one on one conversation many realize the falsehood they are being fed, yet very few have the intestinal fortitude to break the chains.

Open your eyes. The biggest problem with politics is politicians. If there were no career politicians this country would be pro business, pro jobs and have no debt. Politicians may say and act like they care about you, but they are very much self serving. We need to oust all the professional politicians especially ones who say they are for us but aren’t. Although from a federal point of view (constitutionally) a state can mandate insurance like Mass, a true small government person would never even dream of such a thing. Small government applies to states and federal affairs. Romney is playing for the RINO vote. He is only solid since he was anointed by the media and there is an element of “I feel bad since you lost last time”. His immigration beliefs have fluctuated based on the day of the week, his health care beliefs have changed with the times and he is basically a career politician. Time for REAL CHANGE. A non politician as the EXECUTIVE officer (per the constitution the president is the executive.)

  • Does anyone else find it ironic they just got released from a totalitarian government holding them as spies for no ‘real’ reason and have come home to protest for groups which advocate that America become in effect a totalitarian government?
Stupidity – sometimes you just can’t overcome it.

  • I’m so sick and tired of people who want to use less then half the bible top promote their agenda. There are more teachings in the bible about correct handling of money then about giving it away. The LOVE of money is evil not money, The wise son invested his portion of his fathers gift and received an abundance of blessing, the foolish son partied and gave it away and received nothing. The bible says take care of the less fortunate not “Give the government cash to give to the poor”. Their is a huge difference between giving a fish and teaching to fish. especially when the governments inefficiency is added. Over half the proverbs discuss the useless lazy, poor by choice and lack of desire to work. Real Christians know the differences between foolery and Godly.
At least the bible also says what will become of those who pervert the testaments.
