  if you are a brother in our Lord Jesus Christ and struggle to understand the bible start off with the new testaments. Study and learn from your Lord Jesus Christ analyze His words, parables, commands, and warnings. write them down. Study the books of the apostles, turn to them to help elaborate, and to better understand.

  Don’t leave yourself fixed on endless genealogies while you are still struggling to understand what he asks of us

  For one may be fortunate enough to make it into the kingdom of heaven even if they do not understand how many generations are between Abraham and David, from David until the captivity of Babylon, from the captivity in Babylon until the Christ.

  Though he who is not ready I pray for your eyes to be opened.

  Do not grumble against one another, brethren, lest you be condemned. Behold, the Judge is standing at the door!

  To those who think all that is required of us is to believe!

  with nothing changing from within, with no efforts, are we to walk right into our Great and Mighty Fathers kingdom? Even though our Lord Jesus Christ tells us the gate is narrow and the way is difficult, are we to go in one day a week and hear someone preach slander, hate or envy and receive it with joy because those he talks about are condemned? Are we to listen to jokes, buy shirts, mugs and CD’s? Shall we live as those who do not know Him, yet condemn them as if our salvation is carved in stone?

  how can a brother be condemned over a petty thing such as grumble against one another? Are we not allowed to freely sin and still obtain salvation? How then can condemnation derive from grumble against one another?

  Are we to take this with a grain of salt and call such things human nature and allow ourselves to continue in it? Or deceive ourselves and say this does not pertain to us? Is the law not the same for all brethren?

  Why then would Paul bother to tell our brothers at Corinth,
  you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men?

  if we are expected to live as our old self why bother sending word to them of such matters?

  And when we are told
  Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works.

  Would we not be likened to the wise man to ask what it means? Are we really to believe only those present with him held to such standards? That his commands only apply to them?

  Then we must ask ourselves with pride and self set aside, if we are held to the same standards as every other fellow brothers and sisters in Christ our Lord, where have I denied myself? Speaking for myself I have denied myself little to nothing for many years.

  I notice in my studies I often come across two definitions given for repenting. One is to feel regret or to feel bad. The other is to change one’s mind/ways, or to turn from sin.

  It is written when he talks with the woman caught in adultery,
  “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?” She said, “No one, Lord.”And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.”

  I tell you all it would be profitable for one to question
  Does just being sorry better fit the description,

  wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.
  or
  narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

  i thank you for your suggestion. i know my ways are not standard traditional methods, but if it brings just one to question in themselves and turn to our Lord and our Father it would be worth it.

  Hello and welcome! are you a fellow believer in our Lord Jesus Christ and our Father the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob?

  well to be quite honest the discussion at hand is of no importance to me. if such things mattered to me i would question why. the only thing i care for here is the opportunity and the audience.

  as for making it known to my audience where it is to be found in the Bible.
  if they do not know these things they are free to look to our Lord and our Fathers words for themselves.
  if my ways helps to bring one of our brothers or sisters in our Lord and Father closer then what concern is it to you? it is not required of me to do what you ask. chapters and verses were never required.

  one thing i would ask, where does such disapproval come from?

  that list again,
  men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power

  also,
  works of the flesh; adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries

  do any of these things play a part in that?
