  All things being equal…this is actually a GOOD idea…
  Forget the IB garbage…
  The article states that the school is a “choice” school and nobody has to attend, it is a sort of charter or magnet for the area.
  Isn’t CHOICE in schools one of the talking points of the Conservative and Libertarian philosophy?

  Every other G20 nation requires that their students learn their national language, English, plus one other.
  I would love to have my child go to a school system where by the time their are in the 6th grade, they are fluent in 2 or 3 languages of my choosing. The fastest development of language in the brain happens between the ages of 2-8, pre-K through 3rd grade. If you can introduce a child to 2 or 3 languages during this age range, they will master them all. The longer you wait to introduce, most schools wait until 7-9th grade, the harder it will be for the student to become fluent (most schools only advance to the conversational level, never fluency).
  So, if the government is going to be involved in school at all, they should require English plus two other languages be taught in K-6th grades.
  Personally, I would pick English, Chinese, and Spanish/Arabic simply due to the number of people that speak these languages and number of countries that have them as their “native” tongue.
  Besides if all citizens spoke Spanish or Arabic, how could they LIE about what they preach and say on TV and in public??

  Okay…lets put some perspective on this report…REGARDLESS of their bias and polling issues… 1185 people on a national poll is garbage but this is about the average that all polls use…1000-1500 people..

  If you take the nearly 120 Million that voted in 2008, then your poll represents 1 to 120,000, meaning you sampled less than 1/1000 of 1% of the population..in scientific terms.. you poll it CRAP!! A truly scientific poll would have to reach at LEAST 1%-3% of the population to be TRULY valid but then again when has ANY news source EVER done that. We predict election returns with 0% reporting and only 1000 exit polls done, how STUPID do they think people are? Unfortunately, en mass, they are right, we are swayed by IDIOTIC polling numbers but a “non-scientific” web poll that gets 50-100,000 responses is deemed WORTHLESS but the MSM and so-called educated experts.

  But lets take their results at face value and disregard that a university of educated people should know about Statistics and Scientific norms…okay, maybe that is a stretch, I mean they are working at a university after all. Again, given that the HIGHEST marks go to NPR listeners and that mark is only 1.89 questions answered right out of 5 in each section: foreign, domestic, knowledge. It still means that the BEST score of anybody is LESS THAN 38%, which means a FAILING GRADE!! by a LOT!!!
  Conclusion of poll should be..AMERICANS are IDIOTS!! in general!

  I answered all the 9 posted questions perfectly…care to compare my 100% to your knowledge.. heck, I will even go get the rest of the asked questions from the survey and we will see who answers more….

  hybrid camry is pointless…it gets 34 mpg and the standard 4 cyl camry gets 33…even the v6 and v6 SE Camry get 28-30 mpg at worse…

  sorry…i will still buy a Mustang LX with 305 hp that gets 31mpg before I ever buy a hybrid…just because if I want too I can still SMOKE the tires off the line and cruz at 100+ on those wide open desert roads of the SouthWest USA….

  You have lived a sorry life then. I know lots of cops, they have always been nice (even when writing my tickets), they have always been the BEST of us. My family has a close friend that was a cop for over 30 years after putting in 20 years in the Army Rangers. He was the only person I have every meet that legally had a “license to kill” signed by multiple US Presidents for his work on the Olympics anti-terrorism squad in the 1980′s and national Organized Crime Bureau.

  Cops are just like every other job…mostly good guys with a few idiots and jerks thrown in…

  Maybe your attitude towards them is why they always have a jerky attitude back to you…?? Just wondering…we get what we give after all….

  I did notice that Rep. Smith of Washington proposed Amendment 46 to the NDAA re-authorization/ financing bill…. BUT the AMENDMENT FAILED!!!! The Propoganda Amendment failed.. SHOULDN’T that have been IN the ARTICLE!!! the FACTS!!!! Please!!
