  • Ah, it’s another Cameron Diaz moment. That idiot proclaimed to someone – Oprah or the View I think – that if George Bush was re-elected in 2004, rape would be made legal. No matter how many times the progressives want to spin this to being about denying someone access to birth control, the truth hits them square between their self rightious eyes. This is about freedom for EVERYONE to live their life as they please and not freedom based on some special interest consideration. If the progressives are rolling out the Hollyweirdos already, they are scared. By the way, what the heck was this she doing on meet the depressed anyway? Mitt Romney 2012. At least he’s not a communist (repeat that often enough and really does start to feel better).

  • Please note the giant gulp the self proclaimed dirty hippy let go just prior to accusing the NYPD of sending in the degenerates. That’s called a tell and at a minimum he was not confident at all about what he was about to say, but my guess is he was just lying plane and simple. Hannity is not my favorite by any means – too argumentative and doesn’t usually follow the rule of thumb in debating of letting your opponent hang himself – but he put the dirty hippy in his place early and didn’t let him come out of it. If this is the best and brightest that OWS has to offer, it‘s no wonder why they won’t meet us Tea Party types in the arena of ideas and they are trending towards more violent activities.

  • David Barton is my favorite “regular” on Glenn’s show BUT he missed a real to take Stewart and his audience to school. In the third segment when they went into the subject of matters of concious, Stewart used the example of working at a kosher deli and the owner forcing you to be kosher in order to work there. Mr. Barton said he could go down the street to a non-kosher deli speaking from the standpoint of a customer rather than an employee and Stewart responded but he couldn’t get another job. The same logic rehashed itself several times and both men missed the mark big time with each repitition. While Mr. Barton was correct, he took the wrong perspective. Stewart was just flat out wrong. In the example I gave about working at a kosher deli, yes the person can get another job. The deli does not exist to employ people and those that are working there are working at the discretion of the deli owner. If that owner only wants kosher people working there, it’s his/her prerogative. That no doubt limits the pool from which he or she can pull from for perspective employees, but that‘s the risk of imposing such restrictions and the market will dictate the owner’s success. This isn’t even a perfect parallel to the birth control requirements on Catholic institutions because the woman can still go to the doctor, get a script, and head to Wal Mart with $25 she made while working her job at the Catholic hospital and buy it herself. Nobody is emposing the anything on anyb

  • @I-HATER. Yes, I believe in freedom and as it exists under federalism, local communities can come together and set standards that are appropriate for itself. I don’t have to agree with the standards but it is their right under the US system of government. With regards to other kids violating the dress code in some other fashion and not being subject to the same scrutiny, that would make for an interesting follow-up story. If that’s the case, I’m with you, but the facts at this moment don’t point to that.

  • I believe you interpretation of the story is the correct one. If we are going to stand in the fire of truth that Blaze is supposed to represent, then we have to talk about the facts. And the facts are the school has a dress code that limits what kids can wear and this t-shirt appear to fall outside of those parameters. No matter how noble the the cause, making one exception will open up Pandora’s box for the school system. Slap that logo on a polo shirt and the problem is solved IMO.

  • The man is a walking contradiction. He distrusts government but the only things he notes as great acheivments of the 20th century were in government. What about rambling off incoherent thought appeals so well to progressives and gives people like Jones a high profile in those circles? The key to defeating the progressives in the arena of ideas is to strip away the “Hollywood” fascade they have cloaked themselves so well in and let Joe and Joanne Six-Pack know what’s actually going on.

  • Progressive troll?

  • It’s a new owner with a new coach and entirely different front office introducing a new process. There is no way to judge it a success or failure at this point because not one game has been played nor a practice been held where any potential impact can be judged. That being said, I can tell you from extensive experience managing people that the more stable the person’s home life the higher the probability that they will be reliable and productive employee. It’s not a guarantee of success, neither is it a guarantee of failure if you have a lousy home life, but there is an awful strong correllation.

  • Leading with “I am not a progressive” is usually a pretty good sign tha you are. Calling Clarence Thomas, a conservative anchor on the court, a progressive is indicative that I’m correct.

  • So I have been hearing about how conservatives have demographics working against them since I started college in the early ’90s. The same line about white guy Chritians over 50 aren’t going live forever etc. keeps coming out of their mouth but it never seems to materilize. Could it be that progressives are the ones either not having or aborting children or having 1 kid, while conservatives tend to have larger families is skewing that supposed trend? By the way Howie, 30 to 40 percent of Hispanics tend to be fairly conservative too, so the fastest growing segment of the population is not as much of pre-packaged constituency for the Dems as they’d hope. In short, the demographic argument is a myth. What is true is the old saying about if you are not more liberal in your youth you have no heart and if you are not more conservative when you get older you’ve got no brain.
