  As for the Discovery Channel, I remember when they used to base their shows on at least a minimal number of facts. Now it is all liberal opinions stated as though they were facts. Hope they go broke too. Maybe a real science channel will replace it.

  The study is based on the false assumption that people think the government does good for others with our tax money. Please tell me what is good about destroying people’s self sufficiency and making them chronic dependents of the state? What is god about destroying families and people’s ability to get ahead?

  Our tax dollars are used to destroy lives in exchange for votes. That does NOT give ma a good feeling.

  I grew up Italian back when there were many slang words used to describe Italians. There were also slang words for the Irish, Jews, Puerto Ricans, etc etc etc.

  I am NOT justifying the use of these words, civilized people don’t use them. I am however pointing out that back then we saw it for what it was. The person using the word was the one that had the problem, not the other way around.

  If we have free speech, then people will sometimes say things that offend others. That does NOT justify us trying to regulate what people say.
