Demonic? NJ Family Flees Home & Sues Landlord…After ‘Poltergeist’ Allegedly Torments Them
April 17, 2012 at 10:43am
I lived in Toms River for a couple of years when I was a kid. It was an amazing place to be a kid. Spending countless hours in the bowling alley, hanging out at the Cosmic Surf Shop (I think its still there), sledding at the public golf course….
Ironically, and I don’t know if anybody has brought this up yet, Toms River is where the first two Amityville Horror movies were filmed. Right across the street from my house (er, kind of). James Brolin was about as big a jerk as you would expect somebody who married Barbara Streisand to be but Rod Steiger and several of the crew spent time at our house.
But my point is that it’s funny that they would concoct this story in the town where one of the most famous movies with a very similar plot was filmed. I wonder if that’s where they got the idea.
Personally, my guess is that the only Satanic thing they really encountered was New Jersey property taxes.
‘I’m Going to Be Fired’: Bob Beckel Detonates a High-Volume ‘What the F***’ Live on Hannity
April 17, 2012 at 10:29am
I‘m not nearly as offended by the fact that he cussed on the air as I am that he used that kind of language to a young lady and I’m dissapointed that neither Hannity or the other guy called him out for that.
I‘d tell him the same thing I’d tell my sons: “Son, using language like that to a young lady is something a boy does, not a man. But you still have a chance to show yourself to be a man by apologizing.”
He never did apologize. And what’s worse is that, then, he pitched a tantrum by saying, “Well, I‘m going to be fired anyway so I’m just not going to say anything”.
Remember, kids, you’re never too old to be a punk.
Lesbian Wants Priest Removed After She Was Denied Communion at Her Mother’s Funeral
February 29, 2012 at 10:02am
I’m certainly no fan of Catholicism, but it sounds like the guy was just following the rules and that it was the woman who was in violation of the rules.
I‘ve never been in a situation where I had to deny someone the Lord’s Supper, but if I did and they decided to come after me, that would just be another example that they shouldn‘t be participating in the Lord’s Supper.
In my religion, if she was a lesbian and refused to repent, she would be disciplined up to and including disfellowshipping if she refused to repent.
Dash Cam Video Released Showing Randy Travis’ Public Intoxication Arrest
February 16, 2012 at 9:52am
I can see both sides. The police have a responsibility to see that he doesn’t pose a danger to himself or others. On the other hand, He clearly recognized that he was unable to drive and asked them for a ride home.
The best thing to do would have been to drive him home, take his keys and tell him to come to the station and pick them up when he sobers up.
I think more than likely, the police saw they had a celebrity and wanted to be the one who arrested him.
Randy‘s history of drug and alcohol abuse is well known and he’s done a great job overcoming those problems. As far as I’m concerned, this was just an isolated incident of stupidity and poor judgement. I think he handled it well, taking responsibility for his actions and apologizing.
What we need now is a good, old fashioned low, speed, George Jones on a John Deere, police chase through Hendersonville.

Supermarket Agrees to Pay Student $10K For Hitting This Half-Court Shot…After ‘Occupy’ Protest
January 9, 2012 at 10:12am
On the one hand, yes, he was over the line and, by the strict definition of the rules, did not win the contest.
However, from a purely marketing and PR perspective, he should have gotten the money with no argument.
The point of the contest was not to pick the best three point shooter from half court, but for Kroeger to show themselves a friendly neighbor in the Louisville community.
Needless to say, they failed.

Atheists Up in Arms Over NJ Town‘s ’Keep Christ in Christmas’ Sign
December 15, 2011 at 7:37am
Here’s a little irony for you: Pitman was founded as a Christian retreat and is named after Reverend Charles Pitman. Many of the original chapels, cabins, and structures used for worship and revivals are still there.
Kind of odd that the atheists don’t seem to mind the fact that their town was founded as a Christian retreat, but then turn around and pitch a fit over the idea of a Christ-centered Christmas.
