  • unless it‘s been updated in the last 10 years or so the CIWS can’t tell an incoming missile from a diving sea bird. and the IFF (Identify Friend or Foe) works…sometimes. more often than not it doesn’t work at all. so make sure the whole thing is OFF before you try to land on the back of that FFG, ok?

  • signing the ticket isn’t an admission of guilt.

it’s admitting you received the ticket in hand. because otherwise cops could just write up tickets, claim they gave it to you, and then after you missed the court date you didn’t know about, have a warrant issued for your arrest. for a ticket you didn’t know you had.

  • ok, so ban the taser for police use.

let the police just go back to shooting people. with real guns. that’ll really help things along, right?

  • “inert grenades found”

if they’re “inert” why bother mentioning them except to scare people who focus on the word “GRENADE” and don’t know what “INERT” means?

  • burnteye86 the strategic helium reserve was established back when airships were common military items. they sold it off because at the time we had no airships and didn’t plan on getting any. I doubt environmentalists had much to do with it, it was a pretty straightforward cost-cutting measure, eliminating the cost of maintaining the reserves of a substance the DoD no longer felt it needed.

  • this will become more and more common as helium becomes scarcer. it will be replaced with anhydrous ammonia, methane, or hydrogen.

helium is a non-renewable resource. we HAD a strategic helium reserve but sold it off in the late 90′s. I doubt there is much left of it..

  • the best way I have to explain it is ask the person..

“how long is a day to god? if god is infinitely powerful, can’t he make a “day” as long or as short as he needs to get the job done? why can‘t one of god’s days be a week, a month, a year, a thousand years, a billion years, to us?”

sure, everything was done in 6 days. but that doesn’t mean they were OUR days. if you exist outside of space/time..a “day” is as long or as short as you need it to be!

  • baddoggy,

“the laziness and ineptness on the Left”

they’ve been stealing elections and double- and triple-voting for YEARS.

they’re experts at this. and we’re just learning how they do it.

unfortunately we’re not knowledgeable enough yet this time out to really stop them. obama will get a second term.

buckle in a bit tighter. if you can still breathe add another notch. it’s gonna be a hairy ride.

  • THEY start a WAR with US and are shocked and horrified when we acknowledge the fact.

honestly…unca ted is right. and wasn’t talking figuratively. unfortunately it may not matter who is elected gun owners will be DEAD or IN JAIL. the “fudds” will think they will be safe because they only have hunting weapons. this is not so. romney and obama have similar views on the 2nd amendment.

there will be lots of loud noises. and blood. and body bags. the question is…will it be a short fight, and a quick win, or will we be wintering in valley forge in 2013?

all depends on who is willing to and how many stand up and say NO.

I can tell you I will NOT submit to massachusetts-style schemes to register myself or my weapons. I will not let them dictate what I can and can not own or use. I will not turn in for destruction what they deem as “icky black rifles” or anything else.

this is my line in the sand. cross it at your peril.

  • better to call a REAL local investigation team like they already did.

all those shows blow stuff way out of proportion for entertainment value.

that said, the flickering light is a overheating issue common with those sorts of lights. the moving object and the EVP they show are kind of weak. I‘ve gotten much better EVP’s that were VERY clear. http://soundcloud.com/g-h-o-s-t-s

some states require being informed prior to moving in if a place is suspected to be haunted. I’m not sure if NJ is one of them.
