Right you are, disenlightened. If people would vote for ideology over personality on the right (like they do on the left), everything would fix itself.
There are no more “blue dog Democrats.” We learned that in 2008 when we supposedly elected several of them, only to have them turn around and support the Obama/Pelosi agenda in lockstep. Most of them were replaced by Republicans in 2010. This is not to say that all Republicans are good – McCain, Graham, and even Romney leave a lot to be desired. They are what Democrats were 40 years ago. However if you still affiliate with the donkey party, you’re a traitor at best, and evil at worst.
Illegal immigrants have no “franchise” to take away according to our constitution, despite the liberal left’s hearfelt desire to give them one anyway. As the son of one of these “best and brightest” legal immigrants, I find nothing offensive about King’s comments. Though I do wonder if the progressive Christie Vilsack believes that anyone who isn’t white is too stupid to understand the metaphor he was using.
Look, the biblical position on immigration is clear: “your people shall be my people, and your God, mine.” It isn’t “you shall speak my language, give me welfare, and accomodate my god and his sharia.”
I’m glad dad has the clarity of vision to provide for his children, but in a world where you can work the Canadian Oil Sands and earn more than most physicians, you really have to wonder what the real value of a traditional college education is.
Soybean, we’ve really come to the point in history where the Republican party is as big an impediment to saving the nation as the Democratic party. Remeber the role that Rove played in defeating certain tea party candidates who wouldn’t play ball in 2010. Never forget that he is an agent of the enemy.
Rove is a big government republican who supported much of Bush’s second term big-spending globalism. I do not consider him a patriot dedicated to saving the nation, merely another liberal.
Unfortunately, JeannieMac, that’s not how it works. Once you reach a certain level in a publically held corporation in America your screw ups are rewarded with a winning lottery ticket, not a pink slip…
Good for you Shorter University! You’ve asked your employees to sign a pledge stating the obvious for Christians, and as a result it sounds like a number of people who should not be in a position to influence Christian youth are leaving your institution. Hopefully Christian parents will see this Biblical stand and send their Christian young people to your school.

Or, we could eliminate government loans, and watch college tuition rates fall dramatically as supply outstrips demand.
