  • Oh yeah- that was from the “The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission” government website…

  • Just found this:

“1. When is diabetes a disability under the ADA?

Diabetes is a disability when it substantially limits one or more of a person’s major life activities. Major life activities are basic activities that an average person can perform with little or no difficulty, such as eating or caring for oneself. Diabetes also is a disability when it causes side effects or complications that substantially limit a major life activity. Even if diabetes is not currently substantially limiting because it is controlled by diet, exercise, oral medication, and/or insulin, and there are no serious side effects, the condition may be a disability because it was substantially limiting in the past (i.e., before it was diagnosed and adequately treated). Finally, diabetes is a disability when it does not significantly affect a person’s everyday activities, but the employer treats the individual as if it does. For example, an employer may assume that a person is totally unable to work because he has diabetes. Under the ADA, the determination of whether an individual has a disability is made on a case-by-case basis.”

    Summary:
Sotomayor is unable to work because of her diabetes or her employer assumes she is unable to work. As her employer (or at least her salary-provider) I think she is incompetent, but it has nothing to do with her diabetes – just her liberal world-view.

  • “Did you just use a condom to protect yourself against unintended pregnancy, HIV and other sexually transmitted infections?”

Anybody else notice that they include “unintended pregnancies” as a sexually transmitted infection? Perhaps not directly – and maybe that wasn’t even their intent the way the sentence is structured. But I think it may be a glimpse at how many people in the “all abortions all the time” crowd view life in the womb: just an infection that can be cured by going to the doctor for a quick procedure.

    Disgusting.

  • Michelle looks like she’s angry about being perceived as an angry black woman… Just sayin’

  • So this Rabbi, Glenn Beck and Tim Tebow walk into a bar… Wait, I forgot the punch line. Oh yeah – so then all the Christians burned down all the mosques and synagogues! Ha ha ha ha ha… wait… What?

  • The Packers must have more of God’s favor than anybody! WOW! Aaron Rogers must be a saint!

  • Wha? Is Tebow only favored by God when he wins? So other quarterbacks who lose have less faith than Tebow?

  • Not only that, but worshipping Tebow as some kind of super-Christian is idolatry. Tebow is as imperfect as anybody not conceived by the Holy Spirit.

My prediction: Tebow is going to say or do something stupid and the media is going to JUMP on him for being a ‘hypocrite’ – in an attempt to trivialize Christianity.

  • So the devoted Christians on the Bears team are being ignored by God – or do not have as MUCH of His favor as Tebow has?

    Ridiculous.

Tebow is AWFUL for 3 1/2 quarters, his defense yields only 10 points, the Bears go into a prevent defense for the last two drives, allowing Tebow to find receivers for shorter yardage plays. He finally scores a touchdown. And PRATER – the kicker – hits a 59 YARD FIELD GOAL to tie the game. Is Prater a Christian? Prater kicked the game winning field goal. What church does Prater go to?

  • What a stupid thing to say. God cares about your holiness – not whether or not you win football games. A better test of character would be to have the game all but won, only to lose it in the last seconds and still praise God for His goodness. And then go serve the poor and needy, the orphaned and widowed, the hungry, the thirsty, the sick, those imprisoned, etc…
