  • Soros ain’t saying new here, to someone who follows Zerohedge or non-MSM financials.
We are in a worldwide debt crisis, there are only three paths out. 1) Hyper-Inflation, 2)Deflationary Collapse, or 3)Debt Slavery. Given actions in Greece and Italy, it appears the EU is going for option #3. We’ll see how the rioting masses respond, but I am sure the Eurocrats will just let them eat cake :P

  • *sigh* The fact that so many can’t see that letting a self-promoter like Trump run a debate would be bad for ALL the GOP candidates is just sad. As biased as the MSM may be, their moderators aren’t going to be endorsing a candidate, or worse running 3rd party if the ‘correct’ candidate doesn’t win the nomination, as Trump has said he would consider doing.
I am a Ron Paul supporter, and the fact that you all blast him so hard for not swearing an oath not to run, while considering Trump to be all that and a bag of chips makes me sick to my stomach to be honest.

  • Social Security is worse than a Ponzi Scheme and gives Ponzi a bad name. With SS you are FORCED to contribute to the “retirement” fund, while with a Ponzi you have to willing give you money to a Madoff, etc. Also when a Ponzi reaches a tipping point it dies and people go to prison hopefully. With SS, they will just raise taxes or print money (same thing in essence), and the politicians who created it and used it for political gain enjoy the good life well into retirement, without ever paying a cent into the so-called Trust Funds.

  • @Digme Yes Ronald Reagan was a Democrat, in the 30s-50s, but he moved to the Republican side with the Goldwater Campaign and the 1960s political realignment. Perry was a Democrat DURING Ronald Reagan’s terms of office, and campaigned against that legacy in ‘88. He supported Hillarycare in 93. I take any such political conversion with a whole box of salt, much like Mitt Romney and Arlen Specter.

  • I am tired of trying to convince people here. Answering the same charges again and again endlessly. I won’t even dignify you folks with the title NeoCon. Real NeoCons have a philosophy, even as twisted and messed up as it is. You folks are either paid shills, or useful idiots. The people Kissinger called “useless eaters”. Read History, we didn’t get here overnight people. The seeds of this were sown at the very beginning of the republic. But then again Voters aren’t rational, why would they be when you have a greater chance of getting in a car wreck on the way to the polls than having an effect on any federal election.

But here is a parting shot for Perry, since you seem so quick to defend him

  • He answered the way he did for a reason. The only reason this is an issue is THE MEDIA wants to use it against Ron Paul. Look at the guy, no one has come forward, he has made all kinds of claims in the past, that didn’t pan out. Fox news just enjoys the tabloid salaciousness of this story. Its not important at all, except in how they can use it to smear Paul. So Paul here is basically slamming the Media for being obsessed with just stuff, and not even doing their homework on it.

  • Again with the anti-semite smear, almost as tired as ‘racist’. He was friends with Mises and Rothbard, both Austrian economists, both jewish. Unless you are going to tell me they were self hating jews or some such bull, Ron Paul is not anti-semitic. Mises in particular had to flee Austria in the wake of the German annexation. He was a VERY wanted man, because his books directly challenged the feasibility of Fascism and National Socialism. Mises wss one of those unsung geniuses, and the Knight of Liberalism (back when it meant Freedom, Liberty and Laissez-Faire).

  • @Rational Man I always doubt when a person puts ‘rational’ in their name. Especially after one of Reason Magazine’s reports basically stabbed Ron Paul in the back. (For those not familiar Reason is a libertarian-ish organization funded partly by Koch Industries, and the Koch brothers have had a bit of a feud with the Mises Institute, which Ron Paul is part of. The more philosophical and serious libertarians consider Reason to be beltwaytarians, and more obsessed with cultural issues, than achieving liberty)

I apologize for the digression, but I don’t like fear mongering. If radical jihadi’s were as bad as you say, Pakistan would have already nuked Israel. But of course, Muslims are not a hive mind, they have many separate factions. In any event this is how wars always start. Demonize the enemy, make your native population feel that it is unpatriotic to be against the wars, economically isolate the targetted nation via sanctions so no other country will intervene or block your attack and then invade. In any event, I am not impressed by armchair generals who preach war, either to make up for a lack of manliness, or to paraphrase GK Chesterson “You love America, not because she is America, but because she is Mighty.” After all, you abandon the advice of the Founders, and instead take the foreign policy of Woodrow Wilson and FDR.

Ron Paul was drafted due to the Cuban Missile Crisis. Listen to Smedly Butler, USMC Maj. Gen.

  • (con’t) The last portion referred to Israel. Their military is incredibly well trained. Additionally their intelligence service the Mossad is greatly feared in the region.

An extra bit of info, Ron Paul voted against condemning Israel when it took out Iraq’s nuclear facilities. He basically believes each country should have the soverignty to manage their own affairs. Without the US constantly interfering, perhaps the two will come to some accord. After all Israel has 300 ish nukes, and Iran has been radicalized for over 30 years, and they haven’t see fit to use a Nuke or invade Iran themselves. I hope it helps

  • I apologize for any super inflammatory stuff I might have said. I am an Ex-Sailor here, and after seeing the absolutely shoddy treatment of Ron Paul, I am steaming mad. I have been up for 3 days and the Anti-Paulbots are saying the same stuff everywhere, trying to infect peoples minds with their poisonous memes. I won’t even call them NeoConservatives. Neo Cons have a philosophy of government drawn from Plato and other thinkers, I find it total arrogant and paternalistic, but dumb they are not.
I am not asking anyone here at the Blaze to vote for Paul, just get some books and research the History of this land. Research the candidates, pick one who best represents what you want in The President. Just Vote for them, don’t let ANYONE pick for you. Because if you vote with your conscience and your beliefs, your vote is never wasted.
