  Wants to see a great video of persons with disabilities overcoming barriers to recreation check these out. These videos I think are the best ones online today. Go to this link http://www.funtosail.com (video shows many sports other than sailing) then click on the disAbled tab… one of the videos is the New Paralyzed Vets of America sports video (my sailing program is at the 19:40 spot), and the other is of me and my friend with a Spinal Cord Injury and a double amputee sailing/kayaking down a river. I have been working with individuals with disAbilities for a very long time particularly multihulls sailing. My friends awesome statement even though technically he has a disAbility says “I am still looking for my disAbility” Even though he has no legs and a spinal cord injury I find that he doesn’t have a disAbility as he lets nothing limit him. Doctors keep telling him he only has so long to live and he keeps proving him wrong. If this economy was not so hard on my business I would be buying him some life saving medicine he can not afford. I am a little selfish here I mainly want to keep him around as he has blessed my life so much and I just can’t imagine not having such a friend in my life. I hope you all have such a person in your life.

  DB321 I think you need to clear your mind of all the crap your fed related to what the Bible says and does not say. On a side note a prophet is called of God, not by men. Obama can not become a prophet by doing things that lift of up God; it’s much more than that. He can certainly be a follower of Christ though if he actually does that.

  Here is how I know I am a Christian…

  Verse 12: And now, my sons, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that you must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.

  The question really is what is your foundation and I know as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints it is built on the most strong foundation, which is upon the rock of the true living Christ.

  Seems to me a lot of so called Christians have built on the wrong foundation. Many Christians accepting homosexuality, liberalism, socialism, man made doctrines, sexual immorality, and the list goes on and on.   Right like people believing Jesus walked on water and raised people from the dead. How Jesus redeemed all man kind through his suffering. Why is believing that a man of God as they call him was able to translate an old language into the Book of Mormon. Christians are always telling Mormon’s they are crazy and they themselves believe some amazing unverifyable things. I might add Mormon’s believe in the Biblical Jesus not in the modern Christian watered down Jesus. Lets put things in perspective before you go shooting off your mouth (words) about things you know nothing about.

  Remember the Boy Scouts of America has two organizations that girls can join. 1. The Venture program for youth 14-20 and the Sea Scouts 14-20. I run a Sea Scout ship (troop) and its a great experience for the girls and boys. However for those girls wanting a girl only experience the AHG organization is the way to go.

  I have not watched regular TV ever! Not as a kid and not now at 49. With my own family we have not had TV in our home our entire marriage of 22 years. TV always seemed to be a waste of time and as a sailor they never showed the sailing events, etc. I wanted to watch. Using the internet allows me to watch what I want based on my likes and on my schedule. We love watching movies, internet programs right off the internet. Glenn is right on about viewers wanting control what they watch and not having to waste half their life watching degrading commercials for products that suck, etc. When I go to someone’s house and they have regular TV I say to them how can you stand it, as it totally sucks. Via the internet I get to watch the Americas Cup and other outdoor programming any time I want. And by the way I was one of the first to subscribe to GBTV. My time is valuable as a small business owner in Idaho, so time is money.
