  • It sounds like this judge needs to spend a night in jail so he will be motivated to do his job thoroughly and ask the right questions. After all, if we let one judge get away with this…

  • Tough week to find guests, eh Gregory? Ashley Judd on Meet the Press? Jeez.

  • All of this “mark of the beast” business aside, you just know if they were to implement something like this, it would take the identity thief bubbas about 30 minutes to figure out a way to defeat it and start posing as whoever they wanted to be. If there is someone smart enough to come up with this technology, there is certainly someone a little smarter out there with no scruples who is waiting to take advantage of it. We can only hope that those who are in a position to make decisions about using the technology are wise enough to act in the interest of our privacy. Yeah, I‘m not too confident about that as I look at who’s making the decisions these days.

  • So if he had said “hardworking gardener” or “industrious fruit-picker”, would that have been better? You see, the whole point of a metaphor is to let something completely different represent another thing or situation. Holy cow, the things people light off on these days… no sense of humor or a poetic turn of phrase.

  • Harvard, change your mascot to the loon.

  • It is actually a long, rambling street leading in a dead end, but you have to drive it first in order to figure out where it goes.

  • It’s high time to see if these bozos can make it on their own without tax dollars. Defund PP now!

  • I don‘t think it is true that the European leasers are so enamored of Obama’s economic philosophies. If that is true, they will change their minds quickly in a couple months when their economies come crashing down around their ears. Hey, newsflash: nobody likes austerity. That means spending less money, tightening belts, all that jazz. People will grumble, complain, protest, maybe even riot. I think the European leaders know that the right path is austerity – but most don’t have the courage to put it into practice. I hope Obama is watching and taking good notes. He’s going to have a chance to see things come undone over there and change his tune – but I doubt he will.

  • European leaders looking to Obama for economic advice – yeah, that’s not at all worrisome. Sounds like he’s spreading his “Don’t worry, be happy” philosophy far and wide. Merkel needs to slap him silly and tell the others to snap out of it because it is all coming undone.

  • Many organizations make it a practice not to convoy together like this when transporting large groups of children for just this reason.
