  Incredible – this officer should be fired. The Police don‘t have any authority whatsoever to threaten a man’s life who was legally carrying – especially since his body language and tone of voice never suggest that he’s a threat of any magnitude. Government run amok.

  Yes, I heard this same argument made by the idiot filling in for Jason Lewis late last week – Bachmann hasn’t passed craploads of legislation during her 3 terms, so she has ‘no record.’ Since when has the bar for accomplishment been passing tons of legislation? If anything, in today’s world such a lack of support of federal legislation should be worn as a badge of honor. But, of course, this isn’t what Republican party hacks want to see…

  Yes, but don’t forget that the Black Panther will have the advantage of affirmative action due to his minority status. As a result, Beck will have 8 seconds to answer without assistance, while the Panther will be afforded 30 minutes, unlimited access to Think Progress’s research fellows, “phone a friend,“ ”ask the audience,” and a full library at his disposal. Beck should have no problem winning.

  I was just in Minnesota this past week and had the pleasure of seeing a Democratic TV advertisement claiming that Republicans in the legislature wanted to take away grandma’s health care and remove all guardrails from the roads just to protect millionaires. The ad ends with the voice saying, “Tell Republicans to tax the wealthiest 2 percent.”

  I love how our political discourse has been dumbed down to the level of a five year old – no facts, no solutions, just “tax the wealthiest 2 percent” is the answer to everything!

  Bridges collapsing into the water? Tax the wealthy!

  Public school system sucks? Tax the wealthy!

  Potholes in the roads? Tax the wealthy!
