  ANOTHERCONSERVATIVE, You will recall that Germany had top notch scientists, but because of their own “values free” education, their brilliance was easily used to justify a hubris about racial superiority, as well as to support a deadly war machine, and to experiment on helpless captives.

  Here in the US, where a desire to be free to worship according to our own conscience and to speak your mind without threat of government sanction, OUR Scientists urged restraint with the use of the new power they unleashed with the Bomb.

  Hey clueless ones. WOODCELLAR’S POINT is: IF it was GOOD for my corn crop, It is also good for plant life in general.

  Higher CO2 is the same story of good for the biosphere.

  225ppm CO2 is the shutoff limit for photosynthesis. The world was down to 320ppm at the start of the century. (1900). If we want a truly lush environment that consumes less water to produce, then we should try to force the concentration up to 800 – 1200ppm.

  CO2 is not toxic at those levels. Heck it isn’t even an IRRITANT until it reaches 8000ppm!

  Time to calm down and cease being victims of tax-scheme propoganda.

  Beck has found that Jesus’ message of peace towards even your enemies is the answer to paranoia over such things as Janet Napolitano putting together an enemies list, or the EPA targeting the source of our wealth and fiscal strength, etc, etc.

  It’s really the message of what to do when the Grench comes and steals Christmas. The sane minded of the community have to come together and focus on the important things — community, kindness, mutual support.

  Our leaders are repeating history. They are using charisma and government machinery to confuse and divide and stamp out opposition to government. Deep roots are the only thing that will allow us to come back after the government mower passes over us.

  If free speech is deemed not to apply to corporations, then churches can and will be muzzled from spreading their message to the public. ll

  If a corporation needs to blow the whistle on government corruption and get the word out to WE THE PEOPLE, HOW exactly are they going to be able to do that if the same corrupt government can MUZZLE THEM?

  If other countries paid for their own defense, then they wouldn’t have all of this wonderful extra money to spend on Social Programs.

  They would have to be more innovative and would have to take the boot off of their economy and allow it to grow, and then…. yikes, there might be enough prosperity to allow INCENTIVES for social outcomes that were desired.

  Imagine: “Hey Insurance companies, wanna compete for a tax write-off? See those uninsurable out there? Work out a deal with health care providers, and provide some basic coverage for them and we will underwrite the enterprize with a tax break”!!!

  But no,no,no, that would not give the government dictator powers over the small details of business and individuals. Can’t have the people work out the details and leave us out of the fun and excitement of people living their lives without our direct input. THAT JUST WOULD NOT DO!

  So we will have a blood sucking behemoth that will not respond to our pleas that it is killing us. And to think,…. we could have had an incentivized, responsive, competetive private sector going after tax write off candy serving the needs of those few left outside the safety net… wiped our hands and moved on to bringing WORLD PEACE.

  Thanks Socialists. World Peace will elude us thanks to your selfishly demanding on having things “your way”!

  Wasn’t this graph DISCREDITED at some point. If my memory serves, I think that this is an old graph and that the BLACK LINE at the very last of the graph has been DEBUNKED.

  I have to go back and check, but I believe this graph is INCORRECT. I specifically remember seeing a presentation correcting a graph like this and the CORRECTED graph showed the Medieval Warm period to be a couple of degrees warmer than where we are now.
