Ofcourse, you can’t, technically speaking, ‘recreate’ something that never existed. But that’s why you bunch call it creationist, am I right?

You don‘t have to have evidence a god doesn’t exist. YOU have to have evidence that he does.

Nobody has searched the entire universe. That would be quite impossible.
You can however deduce from certain observations that you don’t need a creator. Therefor being an atheist is the most sensible position to take. How do you like them apples!?

The ‘big guy’ is still ‘letting him suffer’ because that is the way it is in ‘the big plan’ that he’s playing a part in, willing or not.
Or is he struck with a biological disease on this physical earth.
Hmm…

Physcially dead: your spirit has left your body
There is no such physical/metaphysical thing as a ‘spirit’. That whet you ascribe to being ‘spirit’ is simply a product of your physical brain. Your brain stops working -> Your ‘spirit’ sieces to exist.
Spiritually dead: you refuse to exept God, and therefore dead to Him
Abra-ca-dabra!
Enternaly dead: if you physically die and are spiritually dead, then your soul is dead forever in hell.
Yes! Keep the fear alive!! It works to rally people to a cause you know, you guys should try it!

This man is my personal hero.
Christopher Hitchens’ youtube portfolio changed me from a fence sitting christian to a full blown atheist, so his condition saddens me. The way he’s handeling it though is an absolute astounding thing to behold! Be well Hitch! Thanks for doing what you do!
For all people of faith gathered here, remember, irrationality always comes back to bite you.
Followers of all faiths can be gullible or not. I don’t have a problem with those who can think critically and cherry pick the right from the wrong in their holy texts (the cherry picking is done by your brain, following human morale, without divine morality inserted. Morality can be dedusted, not implemented).
The problem is that the holy texts are what the are and will never change. So as long as people take them seriously, they will cause harm. Especially if the texts can be easily represented by those who are willing to be hostile to outsiders. The texts don’t have to be ‘misread’, only literally followed to be harmfull. To call people who take their holy book literally not representative of their faith is to completely miss the point.
The fundamental irrationality of all faiths makes them dangerous in and of themselfs. They open people to all kinds of cause-and-effect chains of thought that lead to unsavory endings.
