Dems should abandon the identity politics in favor of smarter programs

Ben Shapiro from the Daily Wire joins Dana to talk about the Democrats' love of giant stimulus packages that line the pockets of labor unions. Ben holds that these programs kept Democrats in power throughout the mid-1900s despite the well-founded objections of budget-conscious conservatives.

"This is historically speaking exactly what FDR did back in 1932," Ben says. "Herbert Hoover implemented exactly the same big government crony programs and tariffs that FDR did later, except only about half of them."

Ben doesn't see much chance the Left changes its tune anytime soon: "That'll take, I think, a unique brand of thought for them to abandon the identity politics in favor of what would be a smarter program, which is actually just bigger government."
