Analysts: Shooting down the Syrian jet sent this message to Russia

The United States shot down a Syrian fighter jet last weekend after it attacked Syrian Democratic Forces allied with the U.S. Russia promptly responded by stating they would view any American jet flying west of the Euphrates as a target.

Lawrence Jones was joined on "Dana" by a panel from the National Center for Policy Analysis. Jim Amos, Dr. David Grantham, and Dr. Devon Herrick discussed how the bold action paints the Trump administration.

They generally agreed that President Donald Trump has, with Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis, made the United States a country that deals with threats and defends itself again. Hostile actions will receive a response.
