According to a report today from the Washington Post, North Korea has produced a miniaturized nuclear warhead able to fit inside its missiles.
The communist country is now on the verge of becoming a “full-fledged nuclear power,” according to the Post, and intelligence reports have estimated that Kim Jong Un now controls as many as 60 nuclear weapons, although experts say it could be less.
Kim Jong Un’s regime has grown confident in its military capabilities resulting in an emboldened leader who lacks reason and who refuses to discontinue nuclear weapons testing despite crippling economic sanctions imposed on North Korea by the U.N. Security Council.
The rogue country’s arsenal is advancing much faster than analysts had anticipated, but the key question remains: "How are they accelerating so quickly?" asked TheBlaze's Brandon Morse on today's "Glenn."
The disturbing report reveals even more troubling details than from just last month. The Post said, “U.S. officials last month concluded that Pyongyang is also outpacing expectations in its effort to build an intercontinental ballistic missile capable of striking cities on the American mainland.” Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York are all in range of North Korea’s ICBM.
They’ve also vowed to make the U.S. pay immensely for the sanctions against the country that will cost them $1 billion and ban coal, iron, seafood, and other exports from the country.
On Tuesday’s Think Tank, the panel discussed the implications of the recent report and the likelihood of full on war with North Korea if things don’t de-escalate.
