Walmart has a plan to make grocery shopping easier. It's so simple, it's almost like having a vending machine for groceries.
Customers go online to order and pay, then drive to the store where the grocery kiosk awaits them. Walmart employees have already packed and stored the groceries in a climate-controlled building.
Next, one inputs the unique code to have bins of food automatically retrieved to avoid waiting in any lines. Walmart hopes this makes service will make grocery shopping less time-consuming.
There are no handling costs, but customers must spend at least $30 before this service is available. So far the pickup kiosk is only being tested in Warr Acres, Oklahoma.
