Glenn: Liberals are finally skeptical of government – what's happening to the right?

People who are afraid of the Trump administration should remember that big government is always a threat – regardless of who is in power.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi has compared Japanese-Americans who were held in internment camps during World War II to people now who are protected by the DREAM Act. Under the Obama administration, people gave their information to the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, which shields illegal immigrants brought to America under the age of 16.

“Welcome to a new feeling for those of you on the left: skepticism of government. … It’s where we all should be,” Glenn Beck said on Wednesday’s “The Glenn Beck Radio Program.”

Some people who felt safe under President Barack Obama now feel threatened by President Donald Trump, and vice versa. Government with too much control over our lives always threatens to swing to the other extreme, depending on who is in control.

“This is the way it happens where there is a wild swing of power and you swing away from the Constitution, either right or left; it doesn’t matter,” Glenn said.

He added, “There are people on the right who don’t get it either; they are letting government grow under their guy.”
