Here is how the left appeals to millennials' sense of entitlement and what can be done about it
June 02, 2017
In this "Millennial Moment," Allie Stuckey wondered if the American dream will die with the current crop of college students. University-level education costs tens of thousands of dollars, but kids don't seem to be learning critical thinking skills.
The political left plays to three major millennial sensibilities via the education system: their sense of purpose over paycheck, their empathy toward "outsiders," and their sense of entitlement.
Now students are being taught that wanting to support oneself well is evil, that compassion is the same as over-sensitivity, and that independence and self-sufficiency are unnecessary.
Subsequently we have a generation of people who believe one must be a liberal to be a good person, and the government determines what is right and wrong.
Allie reminded young people that "Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction." It is up to them to fight for it.
