Hero in Portland train stabbing has a message for those donating money

The man who survived the attack on the Portland train by the white supremacist hurling racial abuse at two teens has released a Facebook video urging more support for the girls.

Two other men were killed when the three of them stepped in to diffuse the situation.

The survivor, Micah Fletcher, says the city of Portland has a habit he calls “white savior complex” in which much support is given to the white hero, and the real victims are forgotten.

When you combine the money raised for the three men, it’s reached about $800,000. The girls, however, have only had about $90,000 raised for them.

“When a kid's hurt like that, we as a society, as a world, have moral obligation to do something about it and to help,” Fletcher told viewers.
