President Donald Trump struck a deal with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) that left Republican leaders reeling. The deal, which increased the debt ceiling and will keep the government running through December 15, was paired with funding for Hurricane Harvey disaster relief.
Dana Loesch discussed the president’s surprising Democrat-proposed deal with a panel of guests on today’s “Dana.”
“It’s a hot mess,” said Dana of the deal. “It’s going to push [decision making] until right before Christmas. They’re going to push all of this into a midterm election cycle. And now they [Congress] have to deal with the debt ceiling/budget. They have to deal with tax reform. They have to deal with immigration, and they have to deal with health care. And we all know that Congress is so expedient in dealing with issues that this is going to get so done.”
