Imagine rummaging through a bargain furniture find only to discover a priceless treasure.
Chris Brigham claims that she did just that. The Rockton, Ill., resident wants to sell a handwritten copy of the Declaration of Independence believed to be priceless. Brigham reportedly found the document hidden inside a 1920s bedroom set that she purchased at an estate sale.
On Wednesday’s “The Glenn Beck Radio Program,” Glenn Beck talked about the incredible story, envisioning what it would be to happen across an original copy of the Declaration of Independence.
“What is it? Apparently one of the original copies handwritten of the Declaration of Independence,” Glenn described the appraiser’s reaction when Brigham brought it in to a professional. “But other than that, no big deal,” he added sarcastically.
In another recent amazing find, researchers Emily Sneff and Danielle Allen tracked down a second parchment copy of the Declaration of Independence tucked away in a records office in England, the Associated Press reported. They have dated the document to the 1780s.
