Former Republican political operative and cable news analyst Ana Navarro-Cardenas found herself on the receiving end of conservative backlash after she tweeted about the death of Herman Cain and other conservatives who have contracted the coronavirus.
“Herman Caín thought Covid was a hoax, scoffed at wearing a mask. Died of Covid. Bill Montgomery, co-founder of pro-Trump, Turning Point USA, scoffed at virus. Died of Covid. Rep. Gohmert refused to wear a mask. Has Covid,” Navarro-Cardenas tweeted less than an hour after Cain’s death was reported. “See a pattern? Covid doesn’t care about partisanship.”

Cain, 74, died Thursday, according to his website. He was admitted to the hospital on July 1 after contracting the coronavirus.
Several conservatives blasted Navarro-Cardenas’s tweet, calling it insensitive and inappropriately political.
