ICYMI: A WH spox flayed Lindsey Graham's ass-backward immigration position

The White House slammed Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., Sunday after Graham said WH staff was making a deal on immigration "very difficult."

"Every time we have a proposal it is only yanked back by staff members. As long as Stephen Miller is in charge of negotiating immigration, we're going nowhere," Graham said to a group of reporters, adding, "the White House staff, I think, is making it very difficult."

Miller, one of the few remaining conservatives in President Trump's orbit, is a staunch defender of American sovereignty and the rule-of-law immigration position held by many conservatives. He and Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., have been tagged by open-borders Democrats and Republicans alike as extremists for opposing any immigration deal that grants amnesty to illegal immigrants without adequate border security measures.

The White House, for the time being, is defending the conservative position against Graham's radical proposal.

"As long as Senator Graham chooses to support legislation that sides with people in this country illegally and unlawfully instead of our own American citizens, we are going nowhere. He’s been an outlier for years," said White House spokesman Hogan Gidley.

The bipartisan deal Sen. Graham supports would create a pathway to citizenship for an estimated three million so-called "Dreamers;" would not fund secure fencing on the southern border; would grant legal status to the parents of "Dreamers;" and would not eliminate chain migration, thereby opening the door for the millions of illegals who have been granted amnesty to bring their relatives into the United States with no merit-based system in place.

In short, the Lindsey Graham proposal is amnesty now, border security maybe, illegal immigrants first, Americans last.
