Kamala ‘Kook’ Harris gets scolded for interrupting Trump official

For the second day in a row, Sen. Kamala Harris interrupted a member of the Trump administration in the middle of a committee hearing. This time, however, she got called out for it.

During an exchange with deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein, Harris continually asked questions of the administration official, precluding him from answering her initial question about the independence of special prosecutor Bob Mueller, until stopped by Committee Chairman Sen. Richard Burr, R-N.C.

Here’s a video of the exchange:

The moment could easily be described as a showboating senator who wouldn’t let a witness get an answer out and got reprimanded by a colleague. Others – naturally – saw an opportunity to gin up another “she persisted” narrative, regardless of the context.

Others are less enthused.

Harris’ actions come a day after she similarly, consistently interrupted decorated veteran and DHS Secretary John Kelly and lectured him on protocol.

On his radio show, Conservative Review Editor-in-Chief Mark Levin criticized the senator as a “know-nothing, pathetic, left-wing kook from California” for the “disrespect” she showed Kelly in her line of questioning regarding sanctuary cities.

The Daily Wire has a transcript of the back-and-forth.

“Kamala Harris is so obsessed with advocating for illegal aliens,” Levin said of the exchange, adding that the Democrat Party “cares more about foreigners in America illegally than American citizens who are here paying taxes.”

Harris remains one of the highly-discussed frontrunners for the Democrat presidential run against President Trump in 2020.

Editor's note:This piece has been amended to correct Rod Rosenstein's job title.
