WTF MSM!? What FBI text messages?

Initial reactions …

Earlier today, a staff report from the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs released a report (PDF) on the FBI’s handling of the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email servers. Included in the report are even more texts between FBI lovebirds Peter Strzok and Lisa Page (PDF). The report raises more questions than it answers, and the texts are damning. That led President Donald Trump to tweet: “NEW FBI TEXTS ARE BOMBSHELLS!”

Of course, THAT brought the media types out of the woodwork, who up till then had been ignoring the story. The Washington Post White House reporter, Josh Dawsey, was particularly snarky, tweeting:

Nothing about what is in the Senate committee report. Just snark. That’s what “journalism” is these days: snarky tweets going back and forth in an echo chamber.

WaPo runs cover … CR national security correspondent Jordan Schachtel noticed that now the Washington Post is running cover for Clinton Inc. and the second dossier. Here’s his tweet:

And here is the story Schachtel’s tweet refers to. The media enablers of Clinton and Obama are rushing to paint the second dossier as something by a “journalist” instead of someone with deep ties to Clinton Inc. Schachtel ties all the facts together, including second dossier author Cody Shearer’s long ties to Clinton Inc. figure Sid Blumenthal. The media will stop at nothing to protect their allies.

Something’s missing … As the story about the committee staff report was breaking, CNN had nothing on its website about it. Not even a mention. Instead the website was full of more Mueller narrative. Here’s a screenshot.

Close to 90 minutes later, as I was putting the final touches on this newsletter, there was still nothing. My guess is CNN has run out of apples.
