Obama's Latest Community College Program is About Social Justice and Getting Votes

The Obama administration's latest Marxist program should come as no surprise to the American public who has borne the financial brunt of this president's expensive programs from the beginning.

President Barack Obama is offering yet another “free” program, on behalf of the American taxpayer, without their blessing. This time, he wants to send everyone to community college and we’re going to pay for it.

According to Eric Schultz, White House spokesman, the program would cost the federal government $60 billion over 10 years. The federal government would pay for 75 percent of the cost and the final quarter would come from the states.

To be clear, statements from Schultz indicating the “cost to the federal government,” “federal government would pay for 75 percent and the final quarter would come from the states,” means that you and I, the American taxpayer will pay 100 percent of the costs.

This line of thinking is nothing new for the Obama administration.

We are all too familiar with the past failed and costly program in 2013, of the “free Obama Phones” that were offered by the government and paid for by the American public.

In 2013, the program cost the taxpayers $2.2 billion in subsidies and came complete with a Lifeline surcharge on everyone’s cellphone bill. All that was required to receive the free phone was proof that the applicant needed government assistance or qualified as low income.

However, people quickly found a way around the rules, allegedly by salespeople working on commission willing to help them get a phone through fraudulent means.

Kris Vosburgh of the California Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association indicated in 2013 that the public was being ripped off.

“There appears to be very little oversight on a multibillion-dollar program. We’re just getting a lot of scammers who are applying and they’re not being filtered out by the system. There just isn’t a checks and balances overseeing this system,” she said.

However, the Federal Communications Commission at the time reported that it had been going after the fraudulent subscribers and indicated that it had canceled 2 million subscribers because of fraud and abuse.

Obviously, the government organization involved would have had to work many hours and even overtime, I’m guessing, in tracking down those that had potentially committed fraud.

This extra cost by the FCC in tracking down millions of potentially fraudulent recipients only added to the overall expense of the “free” giveaway program of $2.2 billion paid by the taxpayer.

The taxpayer continues to be financially ripped off by many actions of this president and it would appear that the cost to the American taxpayer is of no real concern to him since he spends money on vacations like no other president in American history.

It was reported in July 2014, that the Obamas had spent $44 million in taxpayer money on vacations and Obama was being referred to as the “most well-traveled expensive” president in our nation’s history. Keep in mind, Obama was called that prior to his last trip of the year in 2014, which is estimated to have cost over $4 million.

So, this latest move should come as no surprise to a public that is used to Obama squandering American’s hard-earned money.

It should also come as no surprise that his latest education program follows the previous 2013 strategy of giving away free stuff to garner more Democrat votes in upcoming elections.

Additionally, each new program, in my opinion, is intended to teach people to rely on the government for all of their needs.

This ideology is not new. It has been around for a long time. No “good” Marxist worth their salt would fail to utilize this equalizing social justice ploy to create the illusion that government can solve all of its citizens’ problems.

Enter the latest Marxist program from this administration to provide “all” with access to higher education at no cost to the student.

Translation: the American taxpayer will once again suffer the burden on their financial backs in paying for students to attend community college while the president will appear to be the mighty “equalizer” from those who agree with his policies.

Additionally, Obama continues with each new program to attempt to convince the recipient that the government knows best. And, in order to achieve social justice, everyone must be given the same opportunity as everyone else. In this case, everyone will be given an ability to receive a community college education.

Unlike 2013 and the Obama free phone ploy, Obama will now have a new group of individuals to indoctrinate into the “government provides all” system.

Recently, Obama signed an executive order that essentially granted amnesty to millions of people illegally in the United States. As it turns out, an executive order was never signed but a directive by the Homeland Security to its immigration officers prohibiting the deportation of those in the U.S. illegally, essentially created the desired result.

What better way to teach those people and leave them with the perception that the same government who stepped up and kept them in the U.S. will now help them to receive, not only a K-12 education for free, but will continue their education entitlement beyond high school.

In 2015, we are continuing to see programs designed to benefit the president's progressive agenda marching forward!
