Democrat whose family escaped socialism has a warning for his own party: No, it's not like Norway

The Democratic Party 'has become the club for the professionally offended and the socialists'

Glenn Beck sat down in studio with Giancarlo Sopo, a political writer, communications consultant, and first-generation American, to talk about what socialism actually is, why progressives are embracing it, and what that means for the future of the United States.

As a Democrat whose family escaped socialism in Cuba, Giancarlo said he is greatly concerned by the popularity of socialism within his own party. He shared the stories of his parents' and grandparents' lives in Cuba during Fulgencio Batista's dictatorship and Fidel Castro's regime and discussed the fallacy of "Nordic socialism," among supporters of democratic socialism.
