On Wednesday's radio program, Glenn Beck spoke with Laura Wilkerson, the mother of an 18-year-old boy who was brutally tortured and murdered by a classmate who was living in the U.S. illegally.
Laura recalled the gut-wrenching story of what happened to Josh, her youngest of three children, who was savagely beaten, strangled, and set on fire by a 19-year-old illegal immigrant who attended the same school in Pearland, Texas.
"Apparently during that day, a classmate asked for a ride home [from school] and Josh said 'yes' ... Josh never came home," said Laura.
She spoke of the horrific events as they unfolded, from finding Josh's truck near a dumpster in a parking lot, to the trial two years later when she had to listen to the killer describe exactly how he murdered her son.
Laura also talked about the importance of securing our borders. "There's not words to even explain to you the depth of the pain when something like this happens, when you lose a child in any way, but then you add the trauma and the violence and the knowledge that he shouldn't have been in this country in the first place," she said.
