Glenn Beck: Cable news is collapsing and 'CNN stands completely alone in the massive audience implosion'

CNN's viewership is down a whopping 55 percent

On Thursday's radio program, Glenn Beck and Stu Burguiere talked about the drastically plummeting viewership of cable news networks, such as CNN, MSNBC and Fox News.

"CNN continues to lose [their] prime time audience and daytime audience," Glenn said. He explained that while all of the cable news networks are losing viewers at an alarming rate, "CNN stands completely alone in the massive audience implosion."

He compared the numbers for CNN, MSNBC and Fox News.

"So, here's what happened, and we went back and checked because we wanted to make sure that this isn't a typo," Glenn said. "Prime time demo viewership, compared to the same week last year, Fox News is down 25 percent. MSNBC is down 32 percent. CNN is down 55 percent. This is an absolute implosion of a network," he added.

"Now, what you're seeing," Glenn continued. "This is just because the younger people just aren't tuning into television. So you have the implosion of the network system happening. At the same time, you have CNN just killing itself. I mean, we're watching a suicide every time you turn on CNN ... CNN is a total outlier in this audience collapse."
