'Pseudo-Intellectual' host Lauren Chen explains why she is angry
On Sunday's episode of "Pseudo-Intellectual," host Lauren Chen covered a sad story about two women charged in the death of a 3-month-old baby in Moultrie, Georgia. The baby reportedly fell on the pavement as the two women tussled in the parking lot of a beauty supply store.
According to WALB News 10, "On July 19, the two women got into a fight at Thomas Beauty Supply[...] During the fight, the 3-month-old fell from the mother's arm onto the pavement, Lt. Freddie Williams with MPD said.
The baby was taken to Colquitt Medical Center on July 20 for a head injury. The baby later died from his head injuries.
The mother, Karen Lashun Harrison, 26, was charged with felony murder, first-degree cruelty to children, second-degree cruelty to children, simple battery, and affray (fighting). The other woman, Carneata Clark, 26, was charged with false statements and writings and obstruction of an officer, police said.
"I think she should just be sterilized," Chen said.
The most disturbing part of the story, according to Chen, was the length of time it took for the baby to be taken to the hospital the next day.
"This is just bad parenting all around, and it is just sad that this baby had to pay the ultimate price for the mother being a trash person," Chen said angrily.
