(Listen) Pro-Life Group's New Ad: 'Doctor' Makes Fun of Murkowski's Hearing
October 08, 2010
"Alaska voters sent me..."
The Susan B. Anthony List (SBA) announced Friday that it is endorsing Alaska GOP Senate candidate Joe Miller, and released a radio ad targeting write-in candidate Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), The Hill reports.
"Joe Miller's unique experience and commitment to rescind taxpayer funding of abortion in the federal healthcare legislation is urgently needed in the coming Congress," Marjorie Dannenfelser, the pro-life group's president, said in a statement.
The ad, which features an "ear doctor" going to Murkowski's office for a "hearing test," pokes fun at Murkowski's refusal to drop out of the campaign after losing in the Republican primary to Miller.
"Alaska voters sent me, afraid she didn't hear them during the primary," the doctor says. He then uses a megaphone, or "hearing aid," to remind Murkowski that voters didn't choose her.
