Over 100 iPads Stolen from California Best Buy Within Minutes
December 10, 2011
Sheriff’s officials said the loss to the store is estimated to be more than $100,000.
Two Best Buy shoppers were in and out of a California store with just what they were looking for within minutes. The problem for Best Buy being that these two individuals did not pay for the 125 brand new Apple iPads they left with.
CBS San Francisco reports that thieves stole at least 125 iPads Thursday night at about 11:50 p.m, by prying open the store's front doors and a security roll-up. San Mateo County Sheriff's Deputies say the suspects then slid under the jacked-up security gate and dragged a large locked steel rack containing 125 tablet computers through a fire exit door.
Sheriff’s officials said the loss to the store is estimated to be more than $100,000. The suspects fled the scene and had not been found as of Friday morning.
