Roger Ailes on Fox mole: 'Who cares?

In less than the time it takes for me to wash my dishes (paper plates which I actually just throw away) Gawker's so-called Fox News "mole" was road kill.

The mole, self-identified as "O'Reilly Factor" producer Joe Muto, was hired by snark site Gawker to publish a regular column that was supposed to pull back the curtain on the bowels of Fox. He wrote two blog posts (one introducing himself and the other about Fox's weird restroom) and then was found out within two days. And then fired.

DUNCE.

Fox News' Roger Ailes showed no signs that he could care less about the whole thing at a party for media people Wednesday night, according to the New York Times.

“I am the Fox Mole," he said when asked about it. "Who cares? We have nothing to hide.”

Muto said otherwise yesterday in another blog post on Gawker after he was fired.

I am a weasel, a traitor, a sell-out and every bad word you can throw at me... but as of today, I am free, and I am ready to tell my story, which I wasn't able to fully do for the previous 36 hours.

Stay tuned for much, much more...
