Glenn Beck Now Ranks No. 23 on Forbes' World's Most Powerful Celebrities List

Forbes is out with its annual list of the world's 100 most powerful celebrities, with Glenn Beck clocking in at No. 23.

The list is based on an individual's earnings plus their media exposure in print, television, radio and online. This year, Jennifer Lopez got the top slot, followed by Oprah Winfrey and Justin Bieber.

Beck's ranking is seven spots higher than last year's No. 30. He has risen on the list every year since he first appeared on it in 2009 at No. 81.

Forbes:

Who needs Fox News? Beck is his own network now. GBTV, his internet-only video channel, already has more than 300,000 subscribers, making it the biggest component of his fast-growing multimedia empire, Mercury Radio Arts. The conservative host and "rodeo clown" -- his words -- also has his own book imprint with Simon & Schuster, a news website called The Blaze, a live political comedy act and, of course, "The Glenn Beck Program," syndicated by Premiere Radio.

In addition to the celebrity index, Beck was the 11th highest-paid on the list, tied with Elton John and coming in ahead of Tom Cruise, Tiger Woods and Paul McCartney.
