"Which side are you on?"
Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.) at an event on Saturday had a run-in with anti-war protesters unhappy with President Barack Obama’s desire to take military action in Syria.
The protesters for several minutes also made it known they were upset with Baldwin’s silence on the issue.
The first-term Democratic congresswoman was repeatedly interrupted by chants as she tried to explain herself.
“Just say no!” attendees at the progressive Fighting Bob Fest event in Madison, Wis., shouted.
“The gravity of the issues before us are so significant, and they deserve a full debate,” she responded, much to the crowd’s disapproval.
“Stand up if you’re opposed to this war!” another protester yelled, prompting the crowd to chant an updated version of the liberal protest song “Which Side Are You On?”
